well i finished interviews. st. vincent's interview day somewhat devolved into a mess (they told me my scheduled time was 10:30am, then called me at 9:30am on the day of to ask why i hadn't shown up to my 9:15am appointment). it was fine in the end, but it was unnecessarily hectic and stressful, since i was inadvertently late.

i made my rank order list last night. i can't tell you where i ranked programs because it's a BIG SECRET but suffice to say that new york city occupies slots 1-9 or something like that. i'm eager to see where i'll match. can't wait for march 16.
started the medicine sub-i today. what a chore. not as bad as i thought. yeah, it sucks putting on a tie and accepting admissions until 4pm and writing up long H&Ps and such, but i'm going to be doing this for a year before i start anesthesiology anyway, so fuck it, i may as well get used to it. luckily my intern and resident are both pretty laid back people and are totally the type that look at me shocked at 4:30pm and say "what are you still doing here! go home while the sun's still out!" i love it when they do that.
i'm on call tomorrow, so.. see you never.
