ohio snap and the half-blood shizzz

the weekend in photos

now listening: new dandy warhols. verdict so far: disappointing.

the festival was a lot of fun. i got sunburned, i got dehydrated and passed out, i ate a lot of ice cream (ice cream lines were always shorter than the corndog lines), drank a whole lot of bottled water (but evidently not enough at times), did a whole bunch of sweatin' and dirtyin' up, and met a lot of cool new people. i even met the elusive PLASTIC PASSION, whom i was previously convinced was merely a figment of like, hundreds of peoples imaginations, but i GUESS NOT.

BIG UPS to my main man stv slv for hooking me up with a couch and a pillow. he also made me waffles saturday morning. then we snuggled and read the paper and talked about international politics. stv also hooked me up with some SWEET posters he's printed over the year(s). i got a badass bloc party poster, and one for the faint, and MIA/LCDss, and may or may not that jp did, and a little may or may not card thing, and PTX/bangbang!, and an anti bush poster thing, and and and! and this dvd of rappers that i need to watch soon. THANKS STV. how should i frame this shit?

while browsing flickr for photos tagged with intonation, i found pictures of myself and stv taken by a stranger. wait, that's not true. stv knows her and he told me about the pictures. but then i browsed the pictures and found some more. actually just one more. and stv and i both commented "OMG ITS ME" or something nearly intelligent on the photos. have fun trying to find them.

radiology is ni-i-i-i-ce. start at 8:30am, finish at 3:30pm. seriously. and it's like all lectures. yeah, it's like school and school sucks, but since its rads all the lectures are based around pictures and pointing at pictures and staring real close at pictures. with the lights turned down. so i've been drinking lots of coffee.

i'm trying to get rid of my pediatrics sub-internship and replace it with something more relevant/worthwhile of my future direction. first, i've got to unload the sub-i. then i'm going to consider extending my 3 week away rotation in NYC to 4 weeks (the standard length, which was truncated especially for me). also i am currently scrambling to see if i can find a spot to rotate in this fall at NYU, Northwestern Memorial or MCW. i would just stay in madison and do an ICU rotation, but that shit is all full.

losing this sub-i is an extra headache because we signed a "contract" for the sub-i which is "technically" binding, but several students have dropped already, so maybe it's still possible. if not, then oh well.

in the meanwhile: work on a personal statement; work on CV; start lining up where i want to apply for residency; read the new harry potter. not necessarily, but probably should be, in that order.

Paul Wall: Probably the one from London.

Chamillionaire: Germany or something.
