god i am such an idiot
what kind of moron prefaces an attempt to cram an entire rotation's worth of surgical knowledge into one evening by waking up at 4am the day previous to get to work when his exam isn't until 1pm the next day?

4 days left of surgery. 1 more shelf exam. and i am officially done with medical school year #3. unless i failed the year-end exam i took last week, in which case, SHIT.
this is going to be a painful week. i'm plodding through the texts so slowly and general surgery doesn't exactly offer loads of study time. the all-nighter i'm going to inevitably have to pull on thursday night is so close i can fucking taste it and i hate it.
then it's one month "off" where i will be studying for step 2 of the boards (in an effort to mask my unfulfilling score on step 1). and then i start medical school year #4, aka, The Year That Doesn't Really Count For Much And Certainly Not My GPA And Basically I'll Just Be Taking Courses While Filling Out Applications And (Hopefully) Interviewing For Residency Positions While Stressing About The Entire Situation Needlessly.
just when i think i'm going to collapse, prince's "controversy" comes up on the ipod and it's like OH SHIT
